David Muir was born in the US and is an American journalist. The ABC News show World News Tonight, with David Muir has been a hit for many years. Alongside that it is his co-anchorship of ABC News magazine 20/20. With animated animations and dramatic videos of celebrity news, the show has grown to become the most watched newscast in America. Made In America, his Emmy nominated show, is one of his other accomplishments. Prior to his appointment as anchor of ABC World News Tonight he was the anchor in charge for his predecessor Diane Sawyer. He has reported numerous primetime specials for ABC News some recent ones include Breaking Point: Heroin in America as well as Flashpoint Refugees in America. His travels have taken him to all regions of the globe including Gaza Egypt Iran Somalia Japan Peru Ukraine Haiti the Gulf of Mexico and much more. He is the recipient of several Emmy Awards, Edward R. Murrow Honors and awards from Associated Press.
